Changeover from IFS to FSSC

Until now, the IFS (International Featured Standard) has been one fundamental component of our Quality Management System. Now it has been replaced by the FSSC Standard, which has been growing in importance internationally.

To meet future demands of the market even better, IREKS was certified according to FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification 22000) for the first time in September 2015. Compared to the IFS, this independent and international standard offers many advantages and contributes towards maintaining and further improving the high quality standards.

In addition to the retail sector, experts, amongst others from the area of production and food monitoring, are also involved in the further development of the FSSC. In this way, improvements viewed from various perspectives are possible. In addition, following recognition by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative), the FSSC Standard is an exact equivalent to the BRC Global Standard (British Retail Consortium Global Standard) and the IFS.

The continuous further development of our certification makes clear that IREKS is constantly committed to a very high quality of products and food safety.
